Intellectual Property

The Office of the General Counsel is responsible for the legal aspects of managing University intellectual property.  The Senior Counsel for Business Transactions and Intellectual Property supports the Howard University Intellectual Property Committee, which was created in 1993 to oversee the administration of University Intellectual Property. Intellectual property includes: trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets and patents (inventions).
